TEQNIX, the technical festival of L. D. College of Engineering was first started in 2004. TEQNIX has now become a brand, having evolved over the years. TEQNIX is a venture which gives a platform to students to implement their technical knowledge using creative ideas and the core engineering education to develop practical solutions. TEQNIX not only contributes to improving connecting skills and filling up the gaps in knowledge but also aims to impart the never-say-die stance. It is truly remarkable to witness the students from all over the country get together and put their mettle to test with one another, to worship the true spirits of a technically sound mind and competitiveness. Such an event not only attracts and extracts the hidden talents of the students but also presents the world a glimpse of the potential of future engineers.

Robocon, short for Robotic Contest, is an interesting game- cum- intellectual exercise for budding engineers and their enthusiastic instructors, determined to innovate and create machines for producing desired results. Participation in this activity is an end-to-end competitive experience from concept design of a system of robots programmed to perform according to rules of the game played on a high precision technical Contest Area and to score a victory beating the competitors; all this according to a Theme declared by the Host Country. International Robocons are mainly sponsored by Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) which includes Doordarshan (Prasarbharati) of India as a member which has been organizing all activities in India for last five years with collaboration with Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) Pune, India
LDCE has been participating since 2004 in Robocon.

Tremor terror is a one of its kind event under the aegis of the national level technical festival organized by the college every year. The event included Model making competition, Quiz competition, Poster making competition and Special lectures by experts. In this event participants have to make a system of passive control system which will be attached to existing model of building and it will be tested on shake table thus it tests working models of isolation techniques in construction against earthquakes.

National Cadet Corps (NCC) (Since 1948) is a major youth organization in the country. It is a vital link between Defence & Education. Main objective of NCC is to make responsible citizens imbibing the valuesof discipline, ideals, services, dignity of labour & hardwork, spirit of adventure & national intergration. 01 GUJARAT COMPOSITE TECHNICAL COMPANY NCC is a NCC unit situated in campus of our institute. Technical training for engineering students are given in engineers, EME and singal platoon. NCC training is given to the NCC cadets for the three years. After successful completion of three years training & 2nd & 3rd year examination cadets will be awarded valuable "C" certificate. If cadets having "C" certificate with good grading then they have good opportunity to travel abroad, easy terms to enter the Armed Forces & Para military Forces.
