ABU-Robocon is an International robotic competition organized by Asia-Pasific Broadcasting Union (ABU) anually in its member countries. It started with the first event in Tokyo, Japan in the year 2002. Doordarshan India along with Maharashtra Institute of Technology , Pune is arranging this international competition under the auspices of ABU. It is a plateform to stimulate skills and help promote development of technology by exchanging expertise and facility.

The competition ignites young minds to dream and innovate. Robocon fosters interest in the area of artifical intelligence, Mechatronics and Robotic Technology.

2004 was the auspicious year when this event was first held & since then it has been a part of the traditional fabric of our college. Since then this has been a part of our fond memories & future dreams. Hence we now present to you Teqnix, mind it, this is not just an event but a fruitful output of our dreams & aspirations, a culmination of our thoughts, our contribution to the tradition of our college.

01 GUJARAT COMPOSITE TECHNICAL COMPANY NCC is a NCC unit situated in campus of the institute. Natinal Cadet Corps(Since 1948) is a major youth organization in the country. It is a vital link between defence & education. Main objective of NCC is to make responsible citizens imbibing the values of discipline, service, dignity of labour & hard work, spirit of adventure & national integration.

Technical training for engineering students is given in three platoons: Engineers, EME and signal platoon. The training is imparted to the cadets for two years. After successful completion of examination at the end of two years training, cadets are awarded valuable "C" certificate. If cadets have "C" certificate with good grading then they have better opportnity to travel abroad, easy terms to enter the armed forces & other Para Military Forces.
